The most significant and most prestigious literary event in Southeast Europe, one of the biggest fairs in Europe, 62nd International Book Fair in Belgrade will be held from October 22nd to 29th at the Belgrade Fair with participation of more than 450 domestic and foreign exhibitors.
62. The International Belgrade Book Fair will cover more than 30,000 square meters of exhibition space, and in halls 1, 1A, 2A, 2C and 4, the most important domestic as well as numerous foreign publishers and writers will traditionally participate. Literary editions will be premiered, and all interested visitors will be able to attend numerous tribunes, lectures and discussions on literature, publishing and the current social moment. As every year, the participants of the event will attend the celebration of important anniversaries.
On this occasion, literary honors and professionals will be able to get acquainted with this year's domestic and foreign publishing production and will be able to supplement their private collection of books and library funds with the latest titles of domestic and foreign publishing houses, or the renovation of contemporary classics of literature.
In addition to presenting authors and works from countries that are slow guests, a series of tribal and promotional programs encompass important phenomena and values of our literary and cultural contemporary and history, and significant anniversaries will be held in their framework.
A rich and comprehensive accompanying program will take place in several halls for official presentations and exhibitors' stands. Within the accompanying program will be presented new editions and organized meetings and interviews of writers and publishers with readers, bookstores, librarians and visitors from the country and abroad. The accompanying programs will take place in the salons: Ivo Andrić, Borislav Pekić, Vasko Popa, Aleksandar Vučo and Platou Laze Kostić (Hall 1A).
In addition to the honorary guests at the 62nd International Belgrade Book Fair, publishers from Angola, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, India, Iran, Japan, Canada, China, Macedonia, Romania, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, Croatia, Montenegro, United Arab Emirates. The literature of various foreign publishers will also be presented at the stalls of distribution houses in the hall 4.
Monday and Tuesday, October 23rd and 24th, 2017 are days for a family visit, when it will be possible for the whole family with a family-bought family ticket to visit the event.
Working hours of the 62nd International Belgrade Book Fair: 22, 27, 28 and 29 October - from 10 am to 9 pm, October 23 - 26 from 10 to 20 hours.
The individual ticket is 250 dinars, the ticket for group visits is 150 dinars, the ticket for the entire duration of the fair is 900 dinars. The parking cost is 100 dinars (hourly).
