When in 2006, in the New Year's edition of the influential British newspaper The Independent, among the announcements of several dozen of the most attractive tourist events on the planet, Belgrade Beer Fest was also found, it became clear that Belgrade and Serbia were given a manifestation that will by quality and mass become a brand of the capital.
A pioneering attempt to promote beer culture, in just five editions, grew out in the largest travel event in Belgrade, with over half a million visitors every year. Free entrance, promotion of hundreds of the most famous Serbian and foreign brands of beer with a quality music program, are a protective sign of the manifestation.
For fifteen years, the audience was able to enjoy over 750 free music performances. Bands such as Simple Minds, Rudimental, CeeLo Green, Stereo MC's, Marky Ramones Blitzkrieg and stars of the region like Darren Rundek, Laibach, Cold Beer, Partibrejkers, Dubioze Collective, Orthodox Celts, Vlatko Stefanovski, Van Gogh , Psychomodo Pop, Bailey & Instructor, Riblja Corba, Rambo Amadeus, Dirty Inspector Blaze and Kljunov, Kud Idijota marked Belgrade Beer Fest as an important factor in creating a musical taste. This year, for the first time, the festival will have three music stages.
So far over 450 beer brands have been presented at Beer Fest. With a large selection of different beer styles, the festival is a true paradise for beer gourmets. A special charisma to the event is the presence of a large number of representatives of the increasingly popular brewery movement craft. Of course, the trademark is the largest domestic beer company, without whose support the festival probably would not have a free entrance.
This year's 16th Belgrade Beer Fest, which will be held from August 15th to 19th, will have for the first time three music bets in which 62 concerts will be held in 5 days. Complete program and more information can be found at http://www.belgradebeerfest.com
